At Smith System, we understand that adults learn best and retain the most information when they’re fully engaged with the course content. Our courses are designed so that trainees read and hear the material before they actually apply the concepts behind the wheel. On-road training is the backbone of virtually all Smith System solutions and is the most important part of instruction.
We know fleet managers don’t have time to juggle the scheduling of classrooms and other logistics, so Smith System handles it for you. Our training sessions and seminars can be conducted at your location, regardless of where you are in the world. We also offer courses at our Arlington, Texas, headquarters. A multi-company solution is also available for companies with only a few drivers.
This course includes a demonstration of blind spots surrounding the vehicle, a major source of fixed-object crashes, as well as a behind-the-wheel quiz to reinforce the day’s teachings. Trainees receive a driver’s study guide to reinforce what they’ve learned and motivate them to continue practicing their skills. They also get a written evaluation of their driving abilities, a certificate of completion and an opportunity to evaluate the course.
